Even though I’m writing the first draft of a book in about a week and we’re publishing a new book in just about every four weeks, I still get people contacting me and asking, “When will your next book come out?” “Will there be more Klepto Cat or Calico Cat books?”
Yes, fabulous readers, there will be more books.
Since January first, 2023, we’ve published four new books. It’s wonderful to know that the Calico Cat Mysteries are every bit as popular now as the Klepto Cat Mysteries. Readers are enjoying Olivia’s antics and I’m having a blast creating the stories.
As we speak, I’m doing the final edit/proof for Book 63 of the Klepto Cat Mysteries and I’ve just completed the first draft of Olivia’s Book 14.
I’m preparing to enter some of my books in the Cat Writer’s Association annual contest. The criteria is stringent—one being that the story must have a very strong cat presence. As most of you know my books are human-driven with cats involved in many aspects of the stories, but without talking cats (my cats only say Meow, Mew and maybe Yowl) some judges don’t feel they qualify under their strict guidelines. Wish me luck this year.
What is my publishing goal this year? To continue writing for 9-10 hours each day, the stories that delight so many readers.
